Chia seeds are a superfood that are grown in tropical and subtropical conditions. Chia seeds are made up of a high percentage of protein and contain high amounts of natural
antioxidants such as omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds are gluten-free and are also high in dietary fiber.
How to eat?
Mix a quarter cup of the seeds in a cup of liquid (almond milk, fruit juice, other). Once the seeds have gelled and the mixture is no longer watery, they are ready to eat.
Since chia seeds are flavorless on their own, feel free to add spices, fruits, nuts, and any other toppings you’d like.
